Charlie Wood is a performer, writer, multidisciplinary artist and producer of events. They front the viral orchestral punk band THWACK! and co-host and produce the cult cabaret night Miss Ellaneous alongside Frankie Thompson. Their cabaret performing has seen them take the stage at the V&A, Glastonbury, the Puppet Barge, The Southbank Centre, Dalston Superstore, Torture Garden, Soho Theatre, The Clapham Grand, Virginia Woolf’s old house and almost every basement in London. They were a runner up in Not Another Drag Competition and a winner of the Holiday Allstars Special.

Their debut short play ‘Threshold’ was performed as part of Scritches festival at the Divine in 2024 and they have written multiple other full plays and musicals. As an actor Charlie has had starring roles in In The Basement dir. Charles Quittner and multiple runs of The Royal Vauxhall Tavern’s much loved Pantomime Dir. Tim MacArthur. They have done design work for Emma Frankland, Created a Monster, The Coast is Queer festival and many others. Charlie has a Fine Art degree from Central Saint Martins, some really good GCSEs and a passion for customer service.
